Our monthly membership fees are as follows:
Adult: £15
Child: £12.50
You will also need an Archery GB Membership to shoot (for club insurance).
Visitors
Visitors are welcome on production of a valid Archery GB Membership Card. £5 per session.
We require all members and visitors to book a place in advance. Please contact us to arrange this
We may ask for proof of completion of a beginners course or referral from a previous course, or we might ask you to shoot under supervision for us to assess your abilities.
How do I become a member?
If you have completed a beginners course in the past, or are a current or former Archery GB member then please Contact Us to arrange to come along to a session for a quick assessment.
If you have not done any of the above then you will need to complete a beginners course. This is a course which will teach you the basics of archery, bringing you to a standard where you can join the club. We run these courses several times a year.
We provide all equipment for beginners, you only need to bring yourself! You can also carry on using the club equipment until you are ready to purchase your own. We will be happy to measure you for equipment and can offer advice on what to buy. Please do not buy any equipment without advice from a coach!
When you’re just starting out in archery, it’s easy not to realise how much buying your own kit can cost – but don’t worry, we’ll guide you through it. At first, you’ll be using the equipment we provide, so there’s no pressure to rush into buying anything right away. When the time does come, it helps to know that it’s not just the bow you’ll need – you’ll also want arrows matched to your draw, plus basics like an arm guard, finger tab or glove, and a quiver. Over time, you might decide to add extras like a sight or stabiliser too. All of this can add up, but that’s why we’re here: we’ll provide advice, help you figure out what style of shooting you enjoy, and even point you towards second-hand or affordable starter options if you’d like. That way, when you do decide to invest in your own gear, you’ll feel confident it’s money well spent on equipment that really suits you.
