Over the last seven days Perth Archery Club has put over 200 people through a come and try archery experience!

Over 100 attended our two days last weekend (18 & 19th) despite some interesting weather on the Sunday.

Then during the week the club participated in three days of the ‘activity week’ run by Perth High School for their students going into 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. We provided six sessions over the three days and in doing so gave over 90 pupils and around 15 staff the opportunity to try archery. Leaflets and pens with details on how to continue in archery were distributed, and Simon has already had some inquiries from parents for beginners courses!!

I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all of our members who have given up their time over the last week to help with these events. We rely on your support so much to be able to give people the chance to try archery and without you we would not to be able to offer the number of opportunities that we currently do.

We have been very busy behind the scenes with more come and try experiences currently being discussed for the diary. The next external come and try will be on 15th June (PM) at Bridge of Earn’s Gala. Details will be sent out shortly.

There are plenty of others being discussed, and I will talk more about these in an update to our members over the next few weeks.
